College Scholarships
The Service League of Hickory Scholarship Program supports outstanding local students within the Catawba County Public Schools. Since 1954, we have proudly helped more than 250 high school seniors move toward their college goals through meaningful financial awards.
The Service League Awards
- Scholarship Endowment Fund - $12,000 / $1,500 per semester
- Glenn C. Hilton, Jr. Scholarship Endowment Fund - $12,000 / $1,500 per semester
- Beulah Mae Jones Mitchell Scholarship Endowment Fund - $12,000 / $1,500 per semester
- Merit Scholarship Awards – one-time awards of $1,000 - $2,000
Our scholarships are open to graduating high school seniors within Catawba County Public Schools who:
- Demonstrate financial need
- Show academic achievement
- Exhibit leadership and involvement in school and community activities
- Reflect a strong work ethic and dedication to service
How to Apply
Complete application materials and instructions for submission are available each spring. Detailed guidelines and application materials will be provided by each school’s guidance office.
Donations, honor, and memorial gifts help continue to grow these funds. Gifts can be mailed directly to The Service League of Hickory.
